Kampot Writers Festival

Just 19 days until the Kampot Writers & Readers Festival, which kicks-off in Kampot, obviously, on 5 November for 4 days. It's the first one and will include discussions, conversations, poetry readings, music concerts, cooking classes, gourmet lunches, children’s events, architecture, salt & pepper tours, art exhibitions, book launches, book swaps, guided tours, workshops, and literature. Read all about it @

Was a great event indeed. Very pleased I made the trip from PP. Haven't been to Kampot anywhere near as much as I would like and I think this has given me a kick up the bum to go see it more often. Had a great time at Ellie's cafe, listening to the Khmer womans's literature and hearing the story behind the Messenger band. Also had a good time at Kama and many of the other relaxed Kampot cafes and bars. Planning my next trip down already.
