I should have some interesting news about a unique look behind the scenes at Phnom Tamao
Wildlife Park pretty soon. The folks who do fantastic work in rescuing and housing a wide variety of wild animals that would normally be killed, poached or sold are keen to allow limited numbers of interested visitors on a very personal tour of the park. This would include getting one-on-one with the elephants and big cats and up close and personal with the young animals at their normally off-limits rehab center. It's an exciting development, following on from the Free The Bears keeper for a day initiative that kicked-off over a year ago. The park and rescue center is about an hour from Phnom Penh and as part of the visit, a t-shirt painted by an elephant, I kid you not, will be included. Fingers-crossed, I'll be winging my way to Phnom Tamao sometime very soon.
