Looking ahead

If you have spare time in your diary this coming Saturday (11 Feb), then get along to Pannasastra University on Norodom Boulevard in Phnom Penh for a free premier viewing of BosbaPANH's Angkor concert video at 2pm, followed by a live concert called Melodies of Hope, with admission fees going to needy children (5,000 riel entry). The concert will feature Bosba as well as Pou Khlaing and others, starting at 5pm. It also coincides with Bosba's 15th birthday.

If dance is your passion, then you will be well served by popping over to Koh Pich island in the capital on the evening of Saturday 11 Feb, as the annual La Rue Danse will take place on eight stages around the complex. Notables such as Belle, Nam Narin, Yon Davy and Yon Chantha will be doing their thing, in various contemporary styles, from 7pm onwards. Don't miss it.

On Monday (13 Feb), it's the latest version of the Comedy Club Cambodia, at Pontoon, doors open 7pm, tickets cost $10 and the bill will see Jonathan Atherton introducing two international acts, Zoe Lyons (UK) and Greg Sullivan (Australia). I expect it to be another rib-tickling bonanza, so make sure you don't miss out. It's certainly lived up to expectations so far.
