Hanuman Travel recently caught the Children of Bassac dance group on video, both at practice as well as performing at their weekly Thursday evening show at the National Museum in Phnom Penh. These youngsters are superb and deserve as much support as you can give them. The weekly show costs $18 a head and is fabulous, providing a great introduction into classical and traditional dance, and far superior to anything else you are likely to see whilst in country. The show is due to finish at the end of March but Cambodian Living Arts, who put on the event, are hoping to increase the frequency of shows towards the end of the year, when the next high season kicks in. Robin Waldeman is the man behind the camera, and this is just one video of many that Hanuman Travel have posted on YouTube.
