Srey Thy can hardly catch her breath as the Cambodian Space Project whizz from country to country on their world dominance touring schedule, that saw them bring the house down at Mao's on the Phnom Penh riverside tonight. The band are just back from their sojourn to England and then are off to Singapore, Bali and down under in Tasmania. So it was the lucky punters at Mao's this evening that caught the band on a fleeting home visit, as they brought their own unique sound to regulars and first-timers alike, such as legendary singer and actress Sisowath Sieng Dy and PUC talk show host Soma Norodom. My camera is still playing the fool so none of my photos have survived from the gig but believe me when I say it was a rousing show. Jim from Cali2 was out and about so hopefully his camera will have more luck than mine.Another Jim Heston special. And that dazzling Rumnea smile. I should be wearing sunglasses.
