Better late than never. This coming Wednesday (5 October) at Monument Books on Norodom Boulevard, a brand new book, available in both English and Khmer editions, will be released through the Cambodia Daily Press, that looks at the life and times of one of Cambodia's most celebrated statesmen, in The Memoirs of Son Sann, which has been edited by his son Son Soubert. The book launch will start at 6pm at Monument and the editor will talk about the book and his father's life. A former Prime Minister, Son Sann will be remembered as the leader of the KPNLF, one of the resistance groups on the Thai-Cambodian border, who was Prime Minister of the coalition government in exile, the Coalition Government of Democratic Kampuchea (CGDK), which retained a seat at the UN, and later played a leading role in the Paris Peace Agreements and the 1993 elections.
