No, I will not be persuaded to edit another guidebook
Tonight's book launch at Monument Books for To Cambodia With Love
went swimmingly well. I probably sent a few people to sleep with my prattling on but Nick Ray and Mariam Arthur kept the audience entertained and the overall verdict was a positive one. Great to see a nice mix of faces, both Khmers and foreigners, and the quiz together with the free nibbles from Blue Pumpkin got the session off to a good start. Half a dozen contributors put in an appearance, which was lovely because it's as much their book as it is mine. I'm as much a fan of speaking to audiences as I am in editing guidebooks, but it was fairly painless and the presence of lots of familiar faces certainly made it bearable.
