Ugly mug parade

Our lunch in Tra Cu was at a roadside cafe belonging to the delectable Nu, for whom the word vivacious was invented
Although she doesn't look it, this older lady was so happy to hear us speak a few words of Khmer. She didn't want us to leave her small shop where we'd stopped for refreshments.
Today's dose of the Mekong Delta unfortunately features my ugly mug. Sorry about that. I want to get them out of the way before I show you much nicer pictures of people, scenery, temples and the like. These photos were snapped by my travel partner, Tim, my younger brother who has a far superior camera to mine. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.
These schoolboys at a Khmer school in Chau Dien village were great fun
Some thirty monks live at Wat Thlung near Ba Chuc and all of them came out to chat
A cave shrine dedicated to Buddha at Thach Dong cave, near Ha Tien
