A lingering look

Cambodia's contemporary dancer Belle (left) and British-born composer Sarah O'Brien
To round off my photos from the Winds of Angkor musical that took place at Chaktomuk Theatre in Phnom Penh last night, here are a few more pictures from the event. The American Ambassador was seated behind me, Cambodia's favourite film director Rithy Panh was closeby and all tickets were sold out in advance. The cast gave a press conference after the show to the massed ranks of the Khmer media and then trooped off to the FCC for a well-deserved after-show party. A few of the crew will stay on a few days to complete a documentary covering the making of the musical, filming scenes at Tuol Sleng and the Royal Palace whilst cast members will head for home. Let's hope we see them returning early next year for the full-scale production at Angkor.
