Belle (left) and Sarah O'Brien with one who shall remain nameless
Sunday night was musical night at Chaktomuk with the extraordinary Winds of Angkor. I've just got home from the after-show get-together at FCC to find my flat under half an inch of water, courtesy of a burst drainage pipe in my bathroom. However, even that calamity didn't take the shine off a great performance by the Winds team, led admirably from the front by composer Sarah O'Brien. I'll have more to say once I've finished squeegying the floor of my flat and had time to get forty winks. But I must mention Jessica Pennington's rendition of Palaces and Princes which gave me goosebumps on my arms. She was simply amazing.
