The fam trip group pose in front of the dharmasala at Banteay Chhmar alongwith tour guides. I'm on the far left.As a prelude to a flood of photos from the fam (familiarization) trip I've just finished, here's some pictures of the group members, which came from 20 or so travel agents from Phnom Penh and Siem Reap. Quite a few were old faces from previous fam trips I've been on, so it was great to catch up. This fam trip to Battambang and Banteay Chhmar was particularly well run by Sophea and Pichet from Cambodia MSME (Cambodia Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Project) and credit to them for getting us everywhere on time, despite some inclement weather. More on the various aspects of the fam trip in later posts.
How could I not fail to be impressed with my room-mates at our homestay at Banteay Chhmar? LtoR: Jasmine, Sophea, Kelly, Linda.
A wooden platform was erected at the 32-armed Lokeshvara at Banteay Chhmar for the recent visit of the Duke of Gloucester. It was still there when we paid our visit. the tour guide told us it was for the King of England.
