And a personality to match

Alin, with a personality to match her beauty
I thought it was about time to bring a little more beauty to this blog, so here is Alin. She was in the running for the job as my cleaner but lost out in the final selection to Ly, who began her 3-mornings per week on Saturday. Ly is good friends with my former cleaner Det, elder sister of Sophoin, who had to give up because of a dodgy ticker. Getting confused...well, back to Alin. Though she didn't get the cleaner job she should find work soon enough, being a whizz at making clothes, cooking and sweet-making as well as painting nails and stuff. Her CV is longer than mine. She's just been joined in Phnom Penh by her younger sister, that makes four siblings living together, from their home in Baray district, where their parents still live. Dad is a boat-builder. And Alin has a personality to match her looks.

I have some very good news from the Vann Nath camp. He has improved to the extent that he may be able to go home tomorrow. He's not strong enough to stand up yet but he's been responding well to the hemodialysis treatment and he's been told his treatment can continue at home, and on regular visits to the hospital. His family have expressed their heartfelt thanks to all the supporters and well-wishers that responded so positively to the medical emergency. They hope that further treatment can also be undertaken in Bangkok.

More good news on the arts front. The wonderful Belle will be presenting her latest piece of work at the Chenla Theatre on Friday 14 May as part of the Dansez Roam! series. This time around she'll be interpreting the emotion of love, accompanied by six dancers and four musicians. Also part of the show will be a performance from handicapped dancers from Epic Arts Association. It promises to be a great event. Tickets, and they're free, from Amrita and CCF.

What a shame that you have not hired Alin. I would have hired Alin even if there were nothing to clean at all, just to enjoy her beautiful smile.

cheers walter

Just had a call from Belle, who has been struggling with a foot injury in the lead up to the forthcoming performances at Chenla Theatre. In fact I must make it clear that the Dansez Roam! show will take place on Friday AND Saturday this week. Later this month Belle will be off to Hong Kong to perform the Khmeropedes shows.
